How to Access Jesus’ Mind

Spirituality

What if you could tap into supernatural wisdom beyond human limits? What if there was a way to access divine intelligence so that you could see life the way God does?

This isn’t just a theory; it’s something available to those who access Jesus’ mind through the Holy Spirit.

Recently, the Holy Spirit has been teaching me what it truly takes to walk in this spiritual mind. Recently, He began speaking to me about the difference between a carnal mindset and operating in the mind of Christ.

He led me to a foundational scripture:

“The carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.” (Romans 8:7)

This verse reveals a crucial truth: There is no way to live in God’s power while thinking carnally. So if we want to walk in the mind and power of Jesus, we need to leave behind this fleshly mindset.

Let’s break down what this all means:

The Fleshly Mind

When I say “the flesh,” I don’t just mean our physical bodies. The flesh is an inner power; a force that’s inside every human that pulls us toward self-destruction. It’s an invisible resistance that keeps us from walking with God. Some call it ego. Some call it instinct. The Bible calls it ‘the flesh.’

To be carnal is to be led by this inner power of the flesh.

And the flesh is more than just an inner force. It shapes an entire mindset, one that is disconnected from God and void of the Holy Spirit’s wisdom, power, and presence.

The Holy Spirit spoke clearly to me about this:

“When you reason, feel, and take action apart from Me, you’re operating in a fleshly mind; one where you govern and rule yourself. In this state, it’s impossible to follow My law.”

Many people believe they can follow God through their own willpower or religious discipline alone. However, the carnal mind (a mind separate from connection with the Holy Spirit) is incapable of obeying God.

The Flesh / Carnal Mind:

  • Makes decisions apart from God.
  • Is self-reliant and self-governing
  • Rejects submission to the Holy Spirit moment-by-moment.

Even when the flesh tries to do good, it ultimately falls short because it is disconnected from God’s supernatural power.

This is why so many people get trapped in dead religion. They’re trying to follow God without His Spirit leading them. They are trying to obey without God’s empowerment.

The Spiritual Mind

Then He spoke to me some more:

“When you’re governed by My Spirit in relationship, you’ll begin to do My will. I supernaturally empower you, reason with you, counsel you, and give you the ability to obey.”

This is the key difference between walking in the flesh and walking in the mind of Christ.

A carnal mind lives life as if God doesn’t exist or speak.

But a Spirit-governed mind is in constant relationship and communication with the Holy Spirit, thereby, relying on God’s wisdom, counsel, and power.

When you operate in Jesus’ mind:

  • You don’t have to rely on willpower alone.
  • You are supernaturally empowered to follow God.
  • You begin to think, reason, and process with the Holy Spirit.
  • You develop spiritual discernment that goes beyond human logic.

This is why Romans 12:2 says:

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Your mind must be renewed by the Holy Spirit through a ongoing relationship with Him—where you let Him lead, correct, and empower you.

The Importance of Agreeing with God

God says in Amos 3:3:

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

In the spiritual realm, agreement is everything.

And if we want to walk in Jesus’ mind, we must first come into full agreement with God.

When we agree with God about morality, His specific will for our lives, and everything He says, we also grow in our spiritual mind and gain access to God’s power to walk it out.

The Requirement: Being Born Again

Everything I’m sharing is only possible if you are truly spiritual, meaning, you are born again (see John 3:3).

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:14,16b:

“A person who is not spiritual does not accept the gifts that come from the Spirit of God. That person thinks they are foolish. He cannot understand the Spirit’s gifts, because they can only be judged spiritually (…) But we have the mind of Christ.”

This isn’t about growing up in church or even knowing the Bible really well.

It’s about becoming a new person from the inside out through the Holy Spirit.

Being born again means being transformed by the Holy Spirit, given a new heart and ability to walk in the Spirit.

In Ezekiel 36:26-27, God declares:

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you… I will move you to follow My decrees.”

This is why Jesus came, not just to forgive sins, but to empower us to walk with God through the Holy Spirit.

Final Thoughts

There’s a choice we need to make. We can continue thinking apart from God, relying on our own effort…

Or we can surrender to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to renew our minds and give us Jesus’ wisdom and empowerment.

So I ask you: will you access Jesus’ spiritual mind?

If you’re ready to break free from carnal thinking and truly walk in the mind of Christ, we have resources to help you grow.
